Research

I manage individuals in the inpatient and outpatient setting with a variety of benign hematological disorders. My area of research is clinical investigation of adults with sickle cell disease. In collaboration with senior investigators, I have several clinic studies open that focus on elucidating the mechanisms of cardiac and pulmonary complications among adults with sickle cell disease with the long-term goal of identifying potential therapeutic targets.
