Professional activities Currently I am the director of the Bone Marrow Transplant at our institution. I am active in clinical research and patient care. Our center is one of only three centers performing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for the Department of Veterans Affairs and I remain very active within the VA. I also do a significant amount of teaching for medical students, residents and Hematology-Oncology Fellows. I am the Hematology representative for teaching the Hematology segment of the Introduction to Clinical Sciences for Sophomore students. I also have administrative responsibilities as director of the transplant program.
