| Professional activities | I serve as consult attending at Parkland for hematology and oncology for 1 mo. per year and as medicine attending at Parkland for 7 weeks per year. I run a laboratory which currently has three postdoctoral fellows, one graduate student, and one technician. My research is concerned with enzymes involved in lipid modifications of proteins and lysosomal storage diseases. I teach 4 lectures to 3rd year medical students, one lecture to 2nd year students and 2 lectures per year to residents on bleeding and/or thrombosis. I chair the Admissions Committee for the medical school. |
